Remembering Grandma & Grandpa Johnson

Before we headed back to Boise on Memorial Day, we meet Mom & Dad, Kody & Brittney & the cousins at Grandma & Grandpa Johnsons grave site. We talked to the kids about how today we remember those who have died, by placing flowers on their grave. Mom had cut some flowers from her yard so each of the kids could make a bouquet for them. They also had little flags they put around the head stone. I remember going to Grandma Johnsons house and picking flowers from her yard to place on Grandpa's grave, so we thought it would be a fun tradition to start with the grandkids. I think the kids had fun learning about my grandparent and making a bouquet for them.

Ken's Baptism

Ken was baptisted today! We are so happy for him and Kamille, and the steps they have made to get to this point! Ryan was very honored to be the one performing the ordinance. Almost 3 years ago we were on the Oregon Coast with Ken & Kamille for their wedding, where a funny event happened that lead to Ryan being asked. So we thought it would be fun to go crabbing, since none of us had been before. So the process went like this: you bait the pot, throw the pots out into the water, wait a while for the bait to attact the crabs, then pull the pots back on deck, measure the or crab, and start the process over again. We were not having much luck, we were catching alot of small ones. There was a board near the edge of the dock for you to put your foot against when you are throwing the pots out. They had been going for a while and the dock was getting wet and slippery. Ken started with his foot near the board at the edge of the dock, he then started standing on the board to get a better throw, then he was standing on the other side on the edge of the dock. They were throwing out their pots, when Ryan heard a huge splash behind him. He turns around and sees Ken in the water, he had thrown a pot out and went with it. So Ryan reaches out and pulls Ken onto the dock, and joking he tells him "I did not know whether to pull you out or raise my arm to the square and baptise you." Everyone got a good laugh, and 3 years later, he was able to raise his arm to the square and baptise Ken, as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints! The spirit was very strong!

Golfing with Daddy & Papa Okelberry

For Memorial Day we drove to Burley for Ken's Baptism. We planned to get there a little early because the kids had been asking to go golfing. So Ryan wanted to take them to Ponderosa's driving range and let them hit some balls. Ryan had his dad come out and help him teach the kids how to stand, hold the club, and the right way to swing the club. Tayten was getting pretty good the more balls he hit. He even got some off the ground. He does better than me, Ryan calls all my shots "worm burners" because they never leave the ground! They all had a great time.

Could not miss this picture! Loved it! So cute with all their bags lined up!

Making Daddy Beautiful!

Aryn is all girl!!!!!! She has a princess beauty set, and fake makeup that she has been playing with alot lately. Sunday Ryan & I were researching new phone, and she was on the floor playing with her hair, and putting make up on. When she was done she says to us "Do I look beautiful?" To which we tell her she is "Very beautiful". Then she asked if she could do mommy's hair. So she starts putting makeup on me, and straightening my hair. She then tells me "Mommy you look beautiful" and I thanked her for making me that way. She asks me to scoot over because it is daddy's turn. I could not resist taking a few pictures of Aryn making her daddy beautiful. It was so cute watching her try to curl his short hair.

Miss Kim, Aryn's Dance Instructor

Ohhh, we can't forget Miss Kim. This is Aryn's dance teacher. She is so good with the girls, and Aryn loves her. The instructors, and some of the older classes performed for the opening number, so I had to get a picture of Miss Kim!

Aryn's Dance Recital

All of the dancers were so cute, and did so well. We really enjoyed her first dance recital. After she danced we watched some of the other dancers so she could get a idea of what they do in the older classes. She loves her dance class! We are so proud of our little dancer!

Once she was done dancing, she did not care who had come to see her, or about the flowers that everyone had given her. She just wanted to be held by daddy.

Aryn had alot of support! Papa & Nana Okelberry, Grandma & Grandpa Watson, Great Grandpa & Grandma Watson, Cousin Keelie, & Cousin Kynlee all came to watch her dance!
After the recital we went to TCBY and had Ice Cream!

Dance Recital Pictures

We took Aryn's dance recital pictures today! She looked to cute. She is learning a dance about a duck, with a quack quack quack. She is doing really good learning her ballet postions. During the quack quack quack part, they turn around and wiggle their bums swishing their tutu's. They have white & yellow tutu's, and are so stinkin adorable!
