Do you want to be a Jedi???
The other day we were all sitting on the couch. I was holding Kellen and he was looking at Ryan. We were talking to him and getting him to smile. He gave Ryan a huge smile and Tayten says "Do you want to be an Engineer like daddy?" "Or do you want to be a Jedi?" We all laughed, I then ask Tayten if he was Jedi?, and he said yes! It was so cute, especially with his fascination with everything Star Wars lately!

Valentines Day Card!!
I think of myself of as pretty craft person. But I also think of myself as an awesome copier! Their are so many crafty and creative people, that share their amazing ideas. So when I see a cute idea, I love to try it out. The kids Valentines Day Card are one of those projects that I can not take credit for. Surfing the internet for ideas, I saw this card on a couple of different blogs and could not wait to make some. I think they are stinkin cute!

A Day to Celebrate!!!
We have some exciting news to share, it has been a busy week with lots of decisions. Ryan was offered a job with Transform Solar, and he accepted!!! Today he gave his resignation at Weyerhaeuser. Hard to believe he has been there 12 years. To celebrate we went out to eat at Chapala Mexican Restarant and then ice cream at Sonic! We are so excited and ready for change. We both love that he will only be 7 minutes from home, and will no longer have an 1 1/2 commute on a good day. He will be working with an awesome team of Engineers, and will be challanged and and have the opportunity to learn so much! Thank you Ryan for working so hard to provide for our family! Thank you for your love and devotion to us! I know you will do awesome. Thank you Heavenly Father for leading and directing our lives. It feels like this awesome opportunity fell right into place, and I know it was your hand leading and directing us! Yahoo! Heres to new and exciting change.

Kellen's Smile
Kellen has been smiling at us for a few weeks now. It is so fun to talk to him and have him react with such cute smiles. I also love watching Tayten and Aryn talk so sweetly to him, trying to get him to smile. I have not been quick enough with a camera, or maybe I wanted to enjoy those precious smiles so I did not jump for the camera. I got this adorable smile with my phone this afternoon. Enjoy!!!!!!!
"Mom, Can I help you?"
No matter what I'm doing in the kitchen lately, Aryn always comes in and askes if she can help. Most days I am happy to have her help, and share that precious time with her. While other times I don't really want to deal with it, or I'm in a hurry. I have to remind myself to enjoy and take advantage of the time I can share with her in the kitchen while she is so willing to be there with me.
It all started when mom came and stayed with us after Kellen was born. Aryn was her shadow and such a big helper. Even if there was nothing for Aryn to do, mom found something. Thank you so much Mom, for taking the time to allow Aryn to help you in the kitchen, and with everything else. You have helped me remember what is important! Even now months later she still talks about helping grandma with this or that. I'm so thankful she had that time to spend with you. I'm also so thankful for the relationship it has opened up with us.
She especially loves to make sugar cookies. Usually I use a spoon and drop mounds of dough onto the cookie sheet. Making the cute shaped ones takes more time and energy than I want to put in most days. Aryn has a Strawberry cookie cutter she had gotten with a Strawberry Shortcake toy. She kept asking if we could make sugar cookies and use the cookie cutter, and I kept putting her off. I finally agreed to make cookies, but no shapes. While mixing the dough with her I remembered I only have right here and now to develop those memories. So we made cute strawberry cookies. I so enjoyed our afternoon in the kitchen together!!!!

Student of the Week!
This week Tayten was Student of the Week in his class. So I went to lunch with him, and we got to sit at the Honor Tables in the lunch room. I thought since it was his special treat he could choose what he wanted for lunch and of course he chose a Happy Meal. His certificate said he is exemplary in the area of Compassion. It also said "Tayten is a good citizen and is always willing to help other students. Tayten is kind, thoughtful, and has a tremendous spirit of cooperation in the classroom and on the playground. Tayten's kind heart and caring attitude are wonderful character traits that provide a great example to his peers. We are so proud of you Tayten!!!!
